From this year, we will implement a high school-university collaboration project between the tourism department of our university and high schools in the prefecture.
The theme is “tourism” and “regional revitalization”. As of the end of August, the planning of a collaborative project with five schools in the prefecture is underway. We collaborated online.
The first half was a mini-lecture by Professor Hitoshi Takanezawa, and the second half was divided into four groups, where students from Sumoto Jitsugyo High School explained the progress of their inquiry-based learning, and group discussions were held based on advice from the Tourism Department teachers.
The high school students who completed the collaboration gave us their impressions such as "We gained confidence in our efforts" and "It was a good opportunity to reconsider our plans."We plan to continue our collaboration with Sumoto Jitsugyo High School in the future.
