[Faculty of Psychology] What is the personality tendency (personality) that makes it easy to become a criminal?

People who tend to get stuck in something need attention, addiction leads to crime

Have you ever been “addicted” to something?
Have you ever tried to go on a diet, but in front of sweet treats, have you ever reached out and said, "Just one more bite," over and over again, only to end up eating the entire bag?Or have you ever been so engrossed in a game on your phone that you spent the rest of the night and were horribly sleep deprived the next morning?
When I'm doing it, I'm very happy and filled with a sense of satisfaction and achievement, and I put in as much time and effort as I want, but when I suddenly realize, I regret the amount of time I couldn't do or lost. cannot be forbidden. In other words, the repetition of the state of "I know, but I can't stop".Well, if that's all there is to it, it's still okay.If the problem progresses, it is called "XX addiction", and if it gets worse than that, it becomes "addiction".Then you can't get out easily.

Dependence on illegal drugs is the direct link between addiction and crime.Stimulants, MDMA, and recently more and more young people are being arrested for marijuana.Drug addiction repeats offending many times and cannot stop until he is ruined. Can you think of a few celebrities who have been arrested for such things?

Then the next danger is gambling addiction.Pachinko, slots, horse racing, recently casinos, and games with high charges are also a kind of game, so be careful.Spending money on gambling is not in itself a crime.
However, if you get an "unexpected profit" at the beginner's luck in the beginning, it will take over the taste and the bet will steadily increase. No matter how much you lose, you'll be desperate to get it back, so it's bad to get rid of it.In reality, wagers rarely come back, and pocket money and savings are used up.On top of that, he continues to lend money to his friends and even borrow consumer finance.Even so, he keeps losing, so he goes bankrupt and ends up committing crimes. This pattern is very common in theft and robbery cases.

Also, there are cases in which young men continue to go to capaku clubs and brothels for pseudo-romance, and when they run out of money, they end up working for dark part-time jobs (recipients of special frauds, etc.) without knowing what is going on. It's been increasing lately.
Young women are addicted to shopping, buying expensive clothes, accessories, and cosmetics one after another.Do you look more radiant than you actually are when you wear something that doesn't fit your height, or do you feel a sense of superiority when you receive "envious gazes" from those around you? Now, even if you don't have cash at hand, you can buy it online or with a credit card, so you won't be able to stop, and eventually you'll end up with a big debt.

In addition, society is littered with things that can be “addicted”, and those who cannot overcome temptations and desires continue to waste money and are in danger of becoming obsessed with behavior that makes them lose sight of themselves. It is highly sexual.

Well, what are the characteristics of the personality tendencies (personality) that are common in criminals?

“Even if I get a job, I tend to take time off, and if I am dissatisfied with something, I will quit immediately.
He gambles with the aim of getting rich quickly, but when he loses, he repeatedly goes into debt.He doesn't have a long-term outlook on anything, is short-sighted, and lives according to one-off, momentary desires.Impatient, eager to get what they want as soon as possible, and repeat impulsive behavior (stealing, extortion).
Even though he doesn't have much money, he is ostentatious and generous, and loves to treat his friends. But he's not a real friend, so he won't stop me."

A common characteristic of many criminals is, in a word, "weak self-control," that is, the inability to control oneself.

In the past, I thought it was fine as long as no one was watching, and I did some bad things, but now there are surveillance cameras installed everywhere in the city, and I can commit illegal acts without realizing it. There is also a risk that someone will take a picture with a smartphone and report it anonymously using SNS.Perhaps because of this, people's awareness of norms has improved, and more and more people are able to exercise self-control. Crime is steadily decreasing in Japan today, and it can be said that a safe society has been realized.
