Do you know Arima Onsen?That's right, it's one of the three major hot springs in Japan.
Surprisingly, I visited one of the luxury hotels "Gekkoen Korokan".It is a facility where you can enjoy the scenery of the four seasons across the river on the premises.
And it is also a hotel with its own hot spring, which is one of the few in Arima.This hotel and Arima Onsen are the theme (fieldwork area) this time.
I immediately heard about the hotel's philosophy and strategy from the hotel manager, and toured the facility.
According to the manager, before the spread of the new coronavirus, there were many group trips, and it seems that hospitality for inbound customers was also enhanced.
For example, it seems that they rented fashionable yukata to female customers and gave sake gifts.However, I was also able to hear the voices of the current business sites that the number of group trips has decreased due to the corona crisis, and the number of individual trips has increased.
Our mission is to design the future of Arima Onsen.
After this, I would like to discuss and summarize what kind of design I will do in the seminar.In particular, in order to win the competition between cities as an issue, how will we manage it in the future?
In 2025, the Japan International Exposition will be held in Osaka.I felt that the key would be how to attract visitors to Arima Onsen for the Expo.
