[Tourism Department] Seminar activity "Fieldwork @ Minamiawaji City, Hyogo Prefecture: Awajishima Ranch"

At the Koiso Seminar, third-year students of the Department of Tourism, we conduct classes under the following themes.

“For World One Co., Ltd., which operates community-based restaurants mainly in Kobe and Tokyo, we thought and planned new products using various resources such as local ingredients and culture. I visited Minamiawaji City, Hyogo Prefecture on October 10nd with the cooperation of the people of Minamiawaji City, Hyogo Prefecture, for fieldwork aimed at collecting information on such local resources.

We, Group A, visited "Awajishima Ranch".At the ranch, Mr. Junji Kashiwagi (Awajishima Farm Sales Department Manager) and Ms. Abe Tsubomi (Sales Department Sales Section Planning Section) kindly explained the details, and the students also asked some questions. I made it.

The history of the ranch, the characteristics and products of Awajishima milk, as well as the fact that the cows are raised with attention to detail and the environment in which they are raised, and the impact of the new coronavirus on tourists and the products they sell. We learned about changes in sales, and even tried out new products that are currently in progress. Also, at that time, I was allowed to eat the actual milk and pudding, and it was so delicious that everyone bought it and went home.

I was able to feel the wonderfulness of Awajishima Ranch's milk not only in my head but also in my body.

In this fieldwork, we visited not only Awajishima Ranch but also other tourist attractions in Minamiawaji City, roadside station Uzushio, which sells various products of the city, Uzunooka Ohnaruto Bridge Memorial Hall, and Japan's XNUMX I was able to learn more about Minami-Awaji by visiting various places such as "Kawaraya Yasutomi Shiradogawara", which manufactures Awaji tiles, one of the large tiles.

Based on the knowledge I gained from this experience and research, I would like to do my best to make the plan proposals for future seminars even better.
