On December 12st, the “Chinese De Game” event was held at the Yamate Campus gymnasium.Twenty-one students, including students from the Department of Tourism and the Department of English Communication, participated in the event.
Many of the participating students were Chinese students and Japanese students who had studied Chinese. They listened carefully to the pronunciation of the Chinese lyrics to the rhythm of the Chinese songs "丢手绢 (Handkerchief Remover)" and "找 Friend (Looking for Friends)" and stepped on the tempo one after another. I enjoyed the game. The most exciting thing was the last "message" game. Three teams of seven people each challenged five problems and competed. As a result, Team No. 7 won the competition, and we all won the Christmas chocolate prize.
After the event, Ms. Nishihata, a 4th year student, commented, "It was a fun memory," and "I want it to be a staple every year for my juniors even after I graduate."
Despite face-to-face communication restrictions under the coronavirus, everyone was able to enjoy the game while wearing masks, disinfecting hands, and keeping a safe distance except when taking pictures. We will continue to hold events that make everyone smile. We look forward to more participants.
