3Month24I participated in the "Reiwa XNUMXrd Year Science Education Type Inquiry Activity Results Presentation" held on Sunday (Thursday).

Nishiwaki High School Science Education Typology2Year-year students use the “Integrated Inquiry Time” to

  • “Learning from Seniors ~Learning from Senior Nobel Prize in Physics Candidate Yoshinori Tokura~”
  • "Deliver medicines to the elderly with drones"
  • "Analyze big data and save Nishiwaki City"
  • "Banshu Ori Hagile Restoration Project"
  • “Science of PCR testing”

Of5Three themes were set, and the groups in charge of each conducted research activities and presented the results.The format of the presentation was various, such as presentations in English, poster presentations, and demonstration presentations.

Since last year, Kansai University of International Studies has received a request for support from the team in charge of "Analyzing Big Data and Saving Nishiwaki City."2We provided support that made use of the characteristics of the data science major at our university, such as how to proceed with research activities and data analysis methods.

At the results presentation, they were able to present their own ideas based on the results of data analysis, and the presentation was very persuasive.I was deeply moved by the power to grow and the sharpness of sensitivity of high school students.

From this presentation, I felt that high school teachers and university teachers could contribute by becoming more diverse facilitators through cooperation.
