The Open Campus (OC) held on March 3 was the first of its kind on the Yamate Campus, where all faculties were held together in one building. In addition to that, it was also the first OC that we, the staff of the Faculty of Social Sciences, had taken over from the third-year students who had supported us as core members. There were worries and anxieties, but more than that, I think that all the staff shared the desire to create an OC and make it a success.
I had expected that many high school students would come to see the atmosphere of the university at this year's OC.In fact, rather than assertive guidance and entrance examination explanations, more students participated in mini-lectures and student planning for their desired departments, and seemed to get a first-hand feel for the classes and the atmosphere of the current students. We were conscious of how we could convey the state of the students and the lectures to the visiting high school students.

I feel that the response of the staff on the day was able to proceed without any major problems. The Faculty of Social Sciences had a small staff of six, but we were able to cooperate well with other faculties and supplement each other's deficiencies.
From the next OC, we, first and second year students, will be in a position to play an active role as the center of the OC.We, the staff, aim to convey the good points of our university, and we would like to try to be proactive and friendly.
