The Faculty of Business Administration emphasizes the fusion of knowledge gained through classroom learning and experiences gained through experiential learning. In the second year, PBL (Project Based Learning) gets into full swing in "Project Management Exercise II".Students majoring in regional management at the Miki Campus study in the field of Miki City, an area blessed with regional resources.

On May 5, at the "Project Management Exercise II", Assistant President Norihiko Nishimoto (former Miki City Superintendent of Education) gave a lecture titled "What kind of town is 'Miki'? I will tell you about the charm of 'Kimi no Miki'." was started.

A town of golf, hardware and sake rice. These are the three major industries of Miki City.In the lectures, topics were developed centering on these characteristics of Miki City, and there were many other topics such as famous places, historic sites, sightseeing spots in the city, and the Miki Battle.I felt like I got a glimpse of the reason why Miki City was chosen as the 2nd place in the Osaka area for "Permanent Residential Permanent Tokainaka".

Miki City has a long history and culture, and there are people who have inherited it from generation to generation. It was a lecture that made me realize that once again. The student's reaction was

  • There are many good places besides the golf course.
  • Miki City, where I thought there was nothing, has many spots and charms, so I want to go to various places.
  • I decided to actively participate in Miki's events.
  • I learned that the Miki battle was involved in the process of becoming famous for hardware.

And so on, the students seemed to have opened their eyes to the charm of Miki City.

By the way, Miki City and our university have

  • Proposing measures at the “Miki Youth Meeting”
  • Register as an evacuation shelter management supporter in the event of a disaster
  • Participate in local events

We have deepened our cooperation system in the form of such things, but it seems that we can expect even stronger ties through this lecture.

Our university is located in Miki City, which is blessed with many attractions. The students will also cherish their "relationships" with Miki City and continue their activities to make this town a better place.
