The 2022rd Annual Conference of the Kansai Society of Sociology was held on Saturday, May 5th and Sunday, May 28th, 29.Kansai University of International Studies cooperated in the implementation of the tournament as a co-sponsor (host school). There were 2 attendees, invited lectures and symposia were held, and the event ended on a high note.In addition, we also held a special project for the co-sponsored school (tournament school), "Sociology for High School Students 73: Practice", so we will introduce it in an article at a later date.

Below is a comment from Professor Toshio Tomoeda

I am very happy that the two-day conference of the Kansai Sociological Society ended on a high note.

Presenting a paper at an academic conference is always stressful for the presenter. However, when I receive accurate comments and words of encouragement from the faculty members and graduate students who attended, all the hardships I had in preparing for the report were blown away at once, and I felt very happy. For young researchers, it is a gateway to success in their own research, and a chance to open the door to their research will come. For veteran researchers, this is a great opportunity to turn around or upgrade their own research.

The presentation time at the Kansai Sociological Society Conference is 25 minutes, which is now a long time. For decades, we have maintained that tradition. The long presentation time was designed to allow the presenter to introduce the research content as accurately as possible, and to allow the attendees to fully understand the research content before discussing it.I hope that new developments in the field of sociology will emerge from this wonderful passage of time.

At this year's competition, two young researcher awards were selected.

At the symposium "Conceiving Society from Care - Social Theory of the Post-Corona", there were video presentations and reports from New Zealand via ZOOM, including an invited lecture by Professor Yashiro Okano (Professor of Doshisha University), creating a fruitful time. was

My duties as president of the Kansai Sociological Society have come to an end with this conference. Above all, I was able to finish my three-year term without making any major mistakes, and in March 3, I was able to issue a "Council Statement on Russia's Invasion of Ukraine," although it was really small. I think I have accomplished my mission.
