pbl1.jpg

At universities, there are classes called “seminars” where students and academic advisors (advisors) work together on research activities. 3rd year studentsPBL(Problem-based learning). "PBL""

➀Discovery of problems (summer, sea, want to swim in clean sea, want to be young in clean sea, want to do things that can be talked about)

➁ Hypothesis setting (implementing marine pollution countermeasures that can be told as a summer story)

➂ Devising solutions (cooperating with the Kobe Coast Guard to repair marine pollution prevention murals)

➃ Implementation of solutions (this report)

⑤ Review

Work together as a team. And in the process, I will research and learn the necessary knowledge on my own. This time's report will be introduced by the brothers seminar student (4th grade).

The usual seminar is mainly active in the main initiative for the graduation thesis.this time(6/2) is the Suma coast.

Third-year students of the Ohira seminar cooperated with the Kobe Coast Guard Department of the 3th District of the Japan Coast Guard to paint the outer walls of the temporary lockers and temporary shower facilities that were installed at Suma Beach. I did. Most of the students were painting for the first time, so I learned how to use a paint roller and how to apply a top coat of color. "Sea Turtle Marine Adventure" is not only intended as an image design for the sea, but also has the idea of "a sea where fish can live in peace, a clean sea free of marine plastic waste and microplastics." , the students carried out activities while savoring that thought.outside temperature is about29It was a record temperature, and the temperature made us feel that early summer was over and summer was in full swing, but the third-year students worked hard while sweating.

In the middle of the activity, there was a picture-story show of "Sea Turtle Marine's Great Adventure", so I showed it to children from a nearby nursery school who came for a walk at the beach.

At the end of the activity, the faces filled with a sense of accomplishment were seen, and they said, "I hope they will take good care of the temporary facilities that we painted."

I think that there is meaning in all these activities, not only in research classes for the usual graduation thesis, but also in activities outside. The 3rd graders who participated seemed to understand this again through this activity.Thank you to all the students for your hard work.
