The university's brass band club "KUISs Wind Orchestra] has been designated as a strengthening club since last year, and is striving to create music by professional instructors.New members joined us in April this year, and we have been practicing with the aim of participating in our first competition while trying to balance our studies with our studies.
At the Hyogo Prefectural Preliminary Tournament held on August 8th, the small group of first and second year students gave a wonderful performance.Unfortunately, we ended up with a bronze medal, but the experience of working together to create one piece of music was a great harvest, as we were unable to practice as much as we wanted due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection.
[Student's impression]
This was the first competition in a long time, but due to the impact of the new coronavirus infection, the number of members who participated in the event was reduced, so the question was how to cover the missing notes and how to create the overall chord. I had a hard time.Among them, I was able to play an important solo.I was worried whether I could express myself well with the melody, but I was able to demonstrate my current ability, so it was a very good experience.
In the future, I would like to improve my individual skills, and I would like to grow further by practicing with a focus on good tones and chords with all the members.

Please do your best to make a wonderful performance one step at a time, using this experience as fuel!
The next stage is the Hyogo Brass Festival on September 9th!
If you have time, please come by all means.
