[Speech from representative of graduates]

Faculty of Education Department of English Communication Jia Lin

Thank you for holding such a wonderful ceremony for us today. On behalf of the graduates, I would like to express my gratitude to the president, other professors, and everyone involved.I would also like to express my gratitude to all the guests who took time out of their busy schedules to attend this graduation ceremony.

Kansai University of International Studies aims to nurture people who are full of love for humanity, so there is naturally a warm atmosphere full of love and compassion. When I have questions or worries, the teachers patiently guide me, and I am grateful for the useful advice I received from my seniors. Thanks to the president and all the faculty and staff, I was able to concentrate on my studies in such a blessed environment and freely learn what I was interested in.

Two years ago, while the novel coronavirus was spreading all over the world, we encountered countless difficulties while studying in Japan.I am keenly aware of how fortunate I am to be able to stand here and meet all of you.I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone involved for their efforts to prevent the spread of infection at today's ceremony, and I sincerely hope that this will end as soon as possible.

Now that I have graduated, when I look back on the days since I entered the university until today, I feel that the days have passed in the blink of an eye.It was fun too.It was also frustrating.I miss everything so much now.Today is the graduation day, and from now on, we graduates will go on to the paths that we have each chosen.Graduation is not the end, but just one of the turning points in life. Therefore, in the future, we will not only be human beings who can play an active role in the international community in the form of creating new value in various paths, but also share pain with people around the world and solve problems. I will continue to do my best to become a powerful person.I would like to share the following words with my graduating class today. “If you pray, it will bloom.” This does not mean that your dreams will come true just by praying or asking. The true meaning of this word is that if you make an effort to pray with all your might, the path will open up and your dreams and goals will come true. All of our graduates will not stay where they are now, but with courage and hope, I would like to move forward with all my might towards my future.

It is with great regret that I leave this university today, but I would like to express my gratitude to the many people who have made it possible for me to be here today.I would like to express my gratitude to the teachers who have guided me, the staff who have supported my student life in various ways, the friends I have shared a lot of time with, my family who have watched over me, and everyone who has supported me until now. Thank you very much.thank you very much.

Lastly, I would like to say a few words as representative of the graduates, wishing that Kansai University of International Studies will continue to develop and that our juniors will be able to learn deeply in their own way.
