Holding educational symposiums and open classes at sister schools

On Saturday, October 10th, “Educational Symposium & Open Class Changing Yamate!-Towards Reiwa’s Japanese-style private school that responds to globalization and DX-” will be held at our sister school, Kobe Yamate Girls’ Junior High School and High School. it was done.

From our university, President Atsushi Hamana took the podium and gave a keynote speech titled "University education in a global society based on post-corona and DX ~ Hands-on learning and visualization of growth ~".

Analysis of the "e-portfolio" (a tool for accumulating learning outcomes and evidence), which is one of the university's DX, reported that "actual experience and learning" affects student growth.It was also introduced that the university is promoting education for entrepreneurship and multicultural coexistence in conjunction with the "Project to Strengthen the Global Expansion of Universities" recently adopted by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.

It was mentioned that it is very important for both the university and the applicants to be able to choose the university that ``really suits them'' (=feeling relevance). He powerfully conveyed to the audience his educational policy of "taking on new challenges" and "if you can do it, you can do more."

Principal Masao Hirai (Kobe Yamate Girls' Junior and Senior High School) gave a practical report titled "Practice Cases of Japanese-Style Private Schools in Reiwa and Our School's Efforts". Based on ICT, we aim to develop individual skills and realize a "team school" through collaboration between "industry, government and academia". The spirit of "individual optimization" with 100% course satisfaction was spoken.

In the panel discussion, Mr. Kentaro Kimura (Recruit Manabi Education Support Division Division Officer) was the facilitator, Mr. Akihiro Ozawa (Benesse Corporation's Route H cram school for top overseas universities), Mr. Ayano Mukai (Graduate of Harvard University in 2022), Mr. Hirai Deployed with 4 people.The audience was fascinated by the discussions by experts from various fields, such as the differences between education in Japan and overseas, and the ideas and methods of going on to overseas universities.In particular, Mr. Mukai gave the students his passionate words, saying, ``There is no one who is unsuitable for going on to an overseas university, and you can always take on challenges.''

In the research presentation, two groups of students from Kobe Yamate Girls' High School gave presentations. ``Towards a world friendly to left-handers - Towards a world without disparities'' (2rd year students: 3 students) and "Proposals to make Tarumi Ward a more attractive town" (2nd year students: 2 student, English speech) Research results were announced, and the venue was filled with admiration at each speech.

In the afternoon session, five classes were held, including immersion education, which was implemented early in the country, cross-curricular classes corresponding to the new Courses of Study, and information classes.

Current students, parents, alumni, and educators from Kobe Yamate Girls' Junior and Senior High School participated in the event, which was broadcast via Zoom, making for a successful day.
