From the summer of 2022, the long-awaited "elevator (EV) installation work" is underway in the north building of Building 1 (near the south entrance of the restaurant FUTATABI) as part of the barrier-free development of the Kobe Yamate Campus.Currently, along with the seismic reinforcement work on the floor, the interior of the EV and the steel frame assembly work have also begun.It is barrier-free, with wheelchair-friendly large mirrors, a horizontal control panel, and handrails, and has a calm interior that matches the atmosphere of the historic No. 1 school building.
Completion is scheduled for March 2023.
