Kansai University of International StudiesSelected for the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology's 2022 "University Global Expansion Project"Since the fall of 2022, we are working on joint projects with universities in four overseas countries.
On November 1 (Tuesday), President Atsushi Hamana and Vice President Shingo Ashizawa announced the first overseas agreement.Western Sydney University (WSU)and met with Vice Chancellor and Chancellor Barney Glover and Vice Chancellor of International Affairs Linda Taylor, and signed an MOU with the university.
At the meeting, President Glover of WSU and President Hamana of this university explained the characteristics of each university and exchanged opinions. The meeting proceeded in a friendly atmosphere from beginning to end, with President Glover even saying, "We should make it an exchange project for 10 people instead of 100." I was.President Glover, who is a Japanophile, also mentioned the joint venture between WSU and Hitachi.
After concluding the MOU, I had a meeting with Vice President Taylor, and we agreed to promote not only short-term exchanges, but also medium- and long-term student exchanges. .

With the goal of linking high schools and universities in this project, we visited OLMC, a nearby private girls' high school that is enthusiastic about entrepreneurship education.From the school, we received an explanation of a practical program that fosters an entrepreneurial mindset, which is the core curriculum. - WSU School of Business
At the same school, I met Professor Amir Mahmood, the Dean of the School. Professor Mahmood has a mutual acquaintance with President Hamana, and was interested in the partnership with the university's ACP and international collaboration related to disaster prevention education.He also expressed that he would like to cooperate as much as possible with student exchanges in this project.
