On Sunday, December 12th, 11 people visited the Faculty of Health Sciences at the last open campus of the year.Thank you for visiting us in the winter sky.
Following the president's lecture, we talked about the introduction of the department and the entrance exam. After that, they participated in mini-lectures and hands-on exercises in maternal nursing/home nursing, an event planned by current students, and a campus tour. This time, as a new experience project, we set up a booth about "safety" and "global" initiatives in the Nursing Department.
In "Safety", under the theme of "Save life! ~Save zombies~", we had a look at the special make-up for the simulated patients with multiple injuries during training in disaster nursing.Although it enables training in more realistic situations, it can also be applied to Halloween zombie makeup, etc., and is well received by those learning disaster nursing. The visiting high school students experienced how to give first aid when there is an injured person in front of them.
In "Global", the theme was "Experiencing a different culture while wearing ethnic costumes."We introduced the “Global Nursing Major” in the Department of Nursing, Faculty of Health Sciences, and actual international nursing activities. We also had the opportunity to exhibit and try on folk costumes from various countries, and talk about cross-cultural nursing while explaining the relationship between folk crafts and health in each country.
The students were welcomed in costumes of Santa Claus and reindeer, and it seems that they had a good time interacting with the high school students.Thank you to everyone who participated in the busy December.
