
Eye contact is everything in public speaking in person and online (Ravinal, 2023). presentation.
Stafford (2012) argues that except for words, eye contact is the most important link between a speaker and the audience.A speaker can communicate with eye contact and at the same time understand how the audience feels about the presentation.
Stafford (2012) suggests the following to achieve an effective eye contact:
- Make eye contact before speaking
- Speak only while facing the audience
- Look at several people in the audience
- Make eye contact with people in different parts of the room
- Hold eye contact for a few seconds
