GS activity report

This was the first local global study (GS) since the Global Nursing Major was established in the Department of Nursing, Faculty of Health Sciences. In March 2023, with the cooperation of our partner university, Taiwan Asian University, we conducted an overseas training for eight days.

At Asian University, in order to introduce "Japanese culture" and "Japan's medical and health care system", I gave a presentation in English that I had prepared as part of my preparatory study, and received a big round of applause.again,AII was able to participate in a nursing technique exercise that made full use of technology and a lecture on nursing related to traditional medicine unique to Taiwan.

In common with Japan, Taiwan has experienced a major earthquake and is an aging society.Therefore"921We visited an earthquake education park and a support facility for the elderly.In the former, they used what they had learned in advance at the "Human and Future Disaster Prevention Center" and actively engaged in hands-on learning while considering the relationship with disaster nursing.Regarding the latter, I noticed that there are differences in services because Taiwan does not have long-term care insurance.

I also visited the Asian University Hospital and was impressed by the fusion of Eastern and Western medicine.

During my stay in Taiwan, I spent every day with the professors and students of the Asian University, and there were always opportunities to discuss nursing and culture.

After returning to Japan, he participated in a poster session at the university's general debriefing session, and was able to exchange opinions with professors and students from other faculties.I am very happy that my experience through this GS led to my ambitions such as "I want to work in nursing overseas in the future" and "I want to promote cross-cultural nursing to foreigners in Japan."
