

The "Hyogo Destination Campaign" by JR West has finally started on July 2023, 7. With the catchphrase "Hyogo terroir trip - My excitement, beyond."

The keyword for this campaign is “terroir”. The French word means "local character", and the concept is tourism that takes advantage of the individuality of each of the five Hyogo provinces (Settsu, Harima, Tajima, Tamba, and Awaji).When it comes to the appeal of the region, it is the food!Since last year, two long-established ekiben makers and university students have cooperated with Hyogo Prefecture to develop a new ekiben.
From our university, two students from the History and Culture Tourism Study Group participated in the "Awajiya" team.After repeating ideas and considerations, we completed the “# Marutto Hyogo Gokoku Inari” lunch box, where you can enjoy the terroir of Gokoku.Settsu: Kobe beef, Harima: Akashi octopus, Awaji: onions, Tajima: Kasumi crab, Tamba: black soybeans. Full of ingenuity.
At the event commemorating the start of the DC campaign held at Kobe Station on July 7st, along with the JR sightseeing train "WEST EXPRESS Ginga" and jazz performances, along with the governor of Hyogo Prefecture and others, there was an ekiben that made the most of Hyogo's terroir. I made a PR.The event was covered by various media and NHK news.
The Hyogo Prefecture Destination Campaign will run for three months and will include many special events such as the limited opening of private areas of Himeji Castle.We hope that you will also visit various places in the prefecture and enjoy the charms of the region while enjoying the “#Marutto Hyogo Gokoku Inari” bento that our students cooperated with!
