Over the two days of July 7nd and 22th, we held the Job Orientation Seminar, an event aimed at starting job hunting activities for third-year students. This year, the event was held face-to-face on both days, and about 29 motivated students from the three campuses of Miki, Amagasaki, and Kobe Yamate participated.
On the 22nd, in the "Basics", we worked on the important SPI preparation course as preparation for job hunting, self-introduction, and creation of motivation at each campus. On the 29th, the "Practical Edition" was held at the Kobe Yamate Campus, where all departments gathered together. At the beginning, President Hamana gave a talk and encouragement for job hunting.First, fourth-year prospective job seekers talked about their experiences of job hunting and conducted interview demonstrations. After developing an image of job hunting activities, a mock interview (group interview) was held based on the self-promotion created on the first day.Next, there was a round-table discussion with the prospective seniors, and at the end, mock group discussions and group work were carried out, making it a day where students could experience a series of job hunting activities.
Participating students said, "It was good to be able to experience job hunting firsthand." "I want to work even harder in my future job hunting." Thanks to their help, I found areas for improvement. In addition, I felt that I was able to learn how to be careful during interviews and group work by interacting with other students." "Groups with other students I think the discussion was very useful," and "I would like to apply for the summer internship based on the advice of the prospective applicants."
In this seminar, I think it was a good opportunity to experience job hunting in a situation closer to the real thing by talking face-to-face with students and interviewers who met for the first time.I hope that the advice from the interviewer and the enthusiastic words of seniors will be good stimuli, and that they will work positively on their job hunting. The Career Support Office on each campus will continue to provide support tailored to each student.
