The program of Professor Yasuo Kawawaki (representative) of our university's Department of Psychology was selected for the Toyota Foundation's 2023 International Grant Program.

This year's international grant program resulted in 122 applications and 8 acceptances, and we were able to overcome difficult circumstances to be selected.

Based on the international nature, cross-border nature, interactivity, and foresight that are required of the project, the Foundation will provide the "Disaster Prevention Education Program" that our university has cultivated to research institutes, civil society groups, NGOs, etc. in the Asia region. In collaboration with the community, we will develop this program as a training program for local disaster prevention leaders.The aim of this project is to help realize a safe and secure society by having research institutions and local communities serve as continuous partners and instilling a system of training and recognition for citizens who are responsible for disaster prevention in each region.
