Theme: Fieldwork on climate change and disaster mitigation measures and disaster prevention education practice in Vietnam

This program conducts research on the global disaster prevention measures that will be required in Asia in the future by comparing awareness and behavior toward "safety and security," and implements disaster prevention education based on this research.As a preliminary study, we aimed to understand the disaster mitigation measures being developed in Japan, and after practicing disaster prevention education for Japanese children, we visited Da Nang, a coastal city in central Vietnam, and met with multinational people. Together with the students, they devised disaster countermeasures tailored to local conditions.In particular, this program is unique in that it goes beyond surveys and proposals, and involves student groups working together to visit local elementary schools and practice disaster prevention education as a concrete initiative to create a safe and secure community. there were.

Through collaborative work with Vietnamese and Indonesian students who participated in this program, they gained an understanding of diverse cultures and ways of thinking, and learned about problem-solving to create a safe and secure society.
