``Japanese Culture Theory'' offered at our university is a course that approaches Japanese culture through literary works and traditional performing arts, and considers ``universality'' that remains inspiring even as times change. Two special lectures were held.
Amagasaki City is known as the ``City of Chikamatsu'', which is associated with Chikamatsu Monzaemon, and has a strong connection to rakugo, as the ``Amagasaki Rakugo Study Group by the Katsura Beicho Family'' is held every other month.Due to these connections and the support of Amagasaki City, where the campus is located where the special lecture will be held, we will offer this great opportunity to people outside the university as part of the university's contribution to the community.I would be very grateful if my detailed and easy-to-understand lectures from the beginning would open the door to the classical performing arts of Bunraku and Rakugo for you, and give you the opportunity to visit the National Bunraku Theater or Tenma Tenjin Hansho-tei.
