An event will be held at the Nakamichi Community Welfare Center in Hyogo Ward, Kobe City on September 14th, and at the Kitano Community Welfare Center in Chuo Ward, Kobe City on September 20th, to convey to the elderly the special fraud techniques and prevention methods that students have learned It was held at the center.Thirteen psychology students performed a skit in front of a large number of elderly people at each venue, warning them that ``talking about money over the phone is a scam.''

This presentation is part of the "Service Learning" class, which deepens learning through social contribution activities. The students spend about two weeks investigating special fraud on their own, including receiving lectures from police officers from Ikuta Police Station and Hyogo Police Station. We have been preparing for it.

The skit featured ``fictitious billing fraud'' and ``refund fraud,'' using handmade flip boards and other devices to play the role of the culprit and the victim. The content is easy to understand for the elderly, with creative efforts such as recreating the criminal's techniques of inducing the user to press the button incorrectly.

Electricity bill arrearsIn the "fictitious billing fraud", in which the victim pretends to have their electricity cut off due to the above reason, the victim is made to believe by an automated voice over the phone, and then the victim buys an electronic money card at a convenience store under the criminal's instructions, and then gives the criminal the card. I used a scam technique where I gave out my number. In ``refund fraud,'' a criminal pretends to be a representative from the Japan Pension Service and cleverly tricks the victim into believing that their pension is unpaid over the phone. The victim is guided to a bank ATM by the criminal's instructions, and is given his customer number. He entered a false transfer amount and acted as a fraud in order to defraud him of his money.

We received comments from senior citizens who saw the play, saying, ``I liked the serious acting by the students, who are my grandchildren,'' and ``I'm glad that they reminded me of important points many times.''
