On Sunday, October 10th, first-year students of our department participated in the ``29th Multicultural Exchange Festival'' held at Minatonomori Park (Kobe Earthquake Reconstruction Memorial Park).
Last year, each seminar of first-year tourism students opened a stall in rotation, but this year the Ebina seminar and the Ryu seminar opened at the same time.Furthermore, this year, as the coronavirus has subsided and we are now able to open food booths, we split into Ebina's FOOD TEAM and Liu's GAME TEAM to take on the challenge of operating a booth.
Despite careful preparations, both teams encountered an unexpected problem before the festival started!Although I was worried for a while, the students worked together to overcome the situation while the teachers watched over them. Many customers came to the food booth, and there was always a queue, but it was very cool to see them calmly and not panicking. There were small customers at the game booth, and it was heartwarming to see the students acting like older brothers and sisters.
I believe that this activity will have a positive impact on the first-year students' future off-campus and on-campus life.At a review meeting held on campus after the event, each participating student presented what was good about the activity and what needs improvement.
This experience was a good one. All 1st graders did a great job!
