2023 Summer Semester Global Study Overall Report Session Held

In his opening remarks, President Atsushi Hamana noted that studying abroad is not only an opportunity to acquire new information and diverse knowledge, but also an important experience for surviving in a future where we accept diversity and coexist.He emphasized the importance of experiential learning overseas, and expressed the view that the experience of communicating with different cultures and tackling challenges gained while studying abroad has a significant impact on students' own thinking and actions. .
In particular, he said that how students take their failures to the next step will have a big impact on their lives.These messages reminded the students of the importance of experiential learning, and served as important guidelines for applying their learning to society and achieving self-actualization.



Afterwards, a total of 8 students who participated in eight programs based on their destination countries presented their activities, research results, and learning outcomes.
Each program focused on a different theme, and the students spoke in detail about the challenges that emerged from their experiences and research, and how to address them.The presentation method was a poster session format that visually conveyed information, and included many flowcharts depicting the process of problem solving, graphs showing concrete survey results, and photographs taken at the site. The presentations showed the enthusiasm and effort they put into conveying their learning to the fullest.



This winter (2024Years2Month·3Many students who were planning to travel overseas in September also participated.They said, ``I realized that studying abroad is different from regular classes, and it is an experience that will leave a deeper impression on your life.'' ``I will devise my own activities and expand my activities so that I can learn multiple things from one theme.'' I want to expand my learning,'' were the enthusiastic voices.This shows that the Global Studies debriefing session is an opportunity for students to broaden their horizons and encourage self-growth.



Lastly, Vice President Ashizawa said, ``The students have a habit of being interested in what other people are doing and asking questions.I want them to try higher-level programs.Also, I want them to pass on their activities to the next generation of high school students.'' The students also expressed their expectations for their future learning and growth by asking them to take the lead in taking action and enjoy a fulfilling university life.
