(Faculty of Education) Taking on the challenge with colleagues: ``Inauguration Ceremony'' for the nursery teacher/teacher employment exam

On November 11st (Tuesday), a ceremony was held to prepare for the childcare worker/teacher employment exam.

Students aspiring to become nursery teachers and elementary school teachers who are taking the 2024 recruitment exam will participate.In addition, fourth-year students who passed this year's recruitment exam came out to support their juniors.

Mr. Kawamura, head of the Teacher Education Promotion Office, and Vice President Hamana gave words of encouragement to the students about the importance of time management and the university's unique characteristics of ``helping and encouraging each other with your colleagues as you work toward the recruitment exam.''Afterwards, representatives who aspired to be childcare workers and elementary school teachers jointly expressed their determination and spoke powerfully about how they will utilize what they learned at university in the future.

Next, students who passed this year's public childcare worker and elementary school teacher employment exams and who are preparing to take the employment exams were given advice from the perspective of their seniors, such as ``Working together with your peers to prepare for the employment exams'' and ``Center Program.'' They expressed their passion, saying things like ``I will actively participate in the recruitment exam preparation process'' and ``I will plan a well-balanced exam preparation plan.''

The third-year students who participated listened to more specific content from their seniors, and their faces were all serious and attentive, and their supervisors also sent messages to them, saying, ``The faculty and staff will work together as one to support you.''

At the end, a networking session was held between the successful candidates and the examinees, divided into groups for each municipality, where the third-year students took notes and talked about the characteristics of the exam in each municipality, future exam preparations, balancing study and part-time work, etc. Seeing them listening attentively reminds me of them being active as nursery teachers and elementary school teachers, and I sincerely hope that they will achieve their goals.
