Previously in the column"The mysterious world of dream analysis"We introduced about. It's not a dream fortune teller. Freud, who discovered the unconscious, wrote ``Dream Interpretation,'' and his disciple Jung also emphasized the function of dreams, and analyzed dreams from the perspective of the ``collective unconscious,'' which is common to all humankind. We are developing treatments using
Dreams are messages from the unconscious. The unconscious mind is much smarter than the conscious mind, and is the person's absolute ally. Dreams can tell you about your blind spots, answer your concerns, help you get through tough situations, give you experiences that supplement reality, and help you avoid future dangers. It may give you a warning. It would be a waste not to receive this precious message of unconscious wisdom.
For about five years, I attended a dream analysis group run by a Jungian therapist. Participants record their dreams and bring them with them. Take turns reading your dreams and analyzing them together. Dreams are multi-layered, and a single dream can have many interpretations, but there is usually something that hits the dreamer's finger, "That's it!" We will explore this from various perspectives. There are a number of typical dreams, and there are books that explain them. However, it is just a guide, and the same item may have completely different meanings to the dreamer. Therefore, it is necessary to interpret dreams based on the person's background and current situation, which is why these individual dream analysis meetings are useful.
Based on the experience of a dream analysis group, today I would like to introduce you to a dream that leaves a vivid impression, called a big dream. It's not something you look at very often. The dreams reported at the meeting were as follows. It's a middle-aged woman's dream.
I'm riding a train alone at night, sitting by the window in the two-seater seat on the left side of the empty train, looking out the window at the scenery outside. It was a quiet and peaceful evening in the comfortable car. The night train was running on a track that curved slightly to the left. When I suddenly looked up at the night sky, I saw a phoenix with its wings spread across the sky, shaped by countless stars, and it took my breath away. The phoenix, painted with stars in pale pink, light blue, mauve, yellow, and white, was of indescribable beauty, and I said, ``Oh, I lost everything, so I can see this.'' Ta.
This woman said that when she woke up, she felt an indescribable emotion, joy and anxiety, and was in a daze for several days. In reality, she was in a very difficult mental situation due to work pressure, debts, family relationships, etc. Elements such as the night, the sky, and a train journey all indicate a direction towards the inner world and outlook on life; the phoenix represents death, rebirth, and divinity, and the upper left direction represents spirituality, introversion, and divinity. It represents gender, and the railroad tracks and stars have symbolic meanings such as destiny. mandala(Mandara)Similar to other dreams, this dream seemed to be a dream in which the unconscious sent psychic energy to the dreamer who was in a critical situation.
A mandala that had a huge impact on me when I developed schizophrenia was told to me by a patient I had counseling in the past.(Mandara)I once heard that you had a dream about. Ah, I thought to myself, this person may be feeling really cornered. I didn't understand why he was saying this because he had lost everything, and the meeting ended with me saying, ``I wonder what it is?'' In this way, not everything will be revealed on the spot. In later years, I may realize that this is what he was referring to. She heard that this woman's family had fallen apart many years later and that she had turned to religion. Perhaps this dream had some prophetic meaning, or perhaps it caused her to change the course of her life, either way, it was probably a big dream.
What do you think. You may have had vivid dreams that take your breath away. In such a case, treat the dream and yourself with care. I hope I can go to university, study psychology more deeply, and put my dreams to use.
