On January 1th (Friday) at the Kobe Yamate campus, ``Risks hidden in mobile phones'' will be presented in the ``Cybersecurity Theory II'' lecture, which is open to students from all departments and is primarily aimed at students majoring in criminal psychology. We invited external lecturers to hold classes on themes aimed at young people, mainly .

The purpose of this lecture is to develop cyber risk management skills, learn about actual cyber crime investigation methods, corporate cybersecurity measures and initiatives, and aim to acquire the cybersecurity knowledge required in social life. Smartphones are an essential item in student life, and although they are categorized as mobile phones, students should be aware that they are actually carrying small computers with them at all times, rather than phones. Actually from the smartphone call functionSocial MediaI think many people use it as a tool for things such as online searches, shopping, etc. It is both convenient and dangerous at the same time.
Therefore, Docomo Co., Ltd., which is promoting industry-government-academia initiatives as a corporate activity,CSWith the cooperation of the Kansai Kobe Branch, I was able to give a lecture during a class on a university campus. The content of the lecture is
- As an initiative for young people, we provide support for smartphone security settings, etc. for young people.
- As an initiative for seniors, we provide regular support at locations where many seniors gather.
- Collaborative activities with Docomo, Hyogo Prefectural Police, universities such as our university, and high schools as industry-government-academia initiatives
After introducing measures such as these, participants watched a video on the ``risks hidden in mobile phones'' with the themes of 1) underground part-time jobs, 3) purchasing illegal drugs, and 3) purchasing illegal drugs.

After watching a video about phishing scams, the participants demonstrated how to set up a ``mobile phone security service'' using an actual device. Each student configured settings for anti-spam email on their smartphones.

I feel that by taking this class, I was able to experience not only theory but also the importance of cybersecurity.
This time it was held as a class subject, but our university has a social cooperation division that promotes public-private collaboration and community contribution activities, and we faculty members also work together to promote various experiential learning in addition to classes. We would like to continue to develop a wide range of initiatives involving industry, government, and academia, including private companies, the police, and government agencies.
