Procedures for early payment of out-of-home monthly payments for 2024 Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) benefit scholarship candidates

At Japan Student Services Organization, Reiwa6(2024)We are accelerating the monthly out-of-home payment for scholarship recipients who are entering university in the academic year. This system is aimed at those who complete the procedures for commuting away from home before enrolling, and who wish to receive the scholarship on a monthly basis outside their home starting from the month of the first payment.

If you wish to apply, please refer to the attached materials, prepare the necessary documents, and mail them to the Student Affairs Division Scholarship Counter within the deadline. It is also possible to carry out procedures related to commuting outside of your home after enrolling as usual.

Regarding the submission of proof of commuting to school from outside the home pertaining to scholarship student adoption candidates

1. Handling of early monthly payment outside the home

You must submit the required documents by the deadline, participate in the "Reservation Adoption Information Session" held after admission, and complete the application by April 4th (Monday). Students must attend the information session in person. If there are any deficiencies in the documents, the examination will be conducted after admission.

Handling of commuting from home

2. Target audience

① Japan Student Services Organization Scholarship Candidates for scholarships who have decided to enroll at our university.

② Those who can submit documents proving that they will be commuting to school outside their home (copy of rental contract, etc.) by the date set by the university.

3. Application documents

① Benefit Form 35 “Notification of change in school commuting style (commuting to school outside of home)”

Please be sure to check the requirements confirmation chart and check sheet.

②Certificate of commuting to school outside of home

A copy of all pages of the “rental contract” for the apartment, etc., in which the name of the person is listed as the contractor or resident

*For those who will be staying in the Yuai Dormitory, the university will prepare a certificate of admission, so please return only ① Benefit Form 35, ``Notification of Change in Commuting Mode (Commuting from Home)''.

  • Even if the above documents are complete and submitted within the deadline,4Month8If you cannot complete your entry by Monday (Sunday),4Please note that the scholarship money will not be transferred to you on Mondays.
  • The payment will be made at the "home monthly rate" until the submitted proof of commuting to school outside the home has been completely reviewed.
  • As a result of the examination, if it is recognized that you are commuting outside your home, you will be paid the monthly amount outside your home retroactively.
  • If you are unable to prepare the documents within the submission period, please submit the required documents to the Student Affairs Division Scholarship Desk after entering the school as before.
  • If there are any changes (change in commuting style, name change, address change, etc.) after submitting the application documents, please contact us immediately.
