4th International University Forum held (Josai International University Kioicho Campus)
Kansai International University, together with Josai International University, Kyushu International University, and Sapporo International University, forms the Future Network of International Universities (CoIN).
CoIN will hold the 2024th International University Forum on February 2, 16 (Friday) at Josai International University, Tokyo Kioi, with the theme of "well-being," which is said to be a core value of the post-SDGs. It will be held at the town campus.
CoIN focuses on universities with "international" and "foreign language" titles, where students gather from all over the world, and fosters a broad perspective and open-mindedness by focusing on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This is a network to realize an educational and research environment. At this forum, Takashi Fuchikami, Deputy Director-General of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (in charge of the Comprehensive Educational Policy Bureau), took the stage and gave a speech entitled "The Future Direction of Japan's Educational Policy (Fourth Basic Plan for the Promotion of Education)." The keynote speech will be given by Vice President Shingo Ashizawa from Kansai International University, entitled "Possibilities for building a well-being society through education."
