Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences Department of Nursing, February27With the cooperation of Indonesia's partner university, Universiti Gadjah Mada (UGM),15We conducted a one-day overseas training program.
Indonesia's health care system, including the nurse qualification system, insurance system, and the roles and functions of medical institutions, are different from Japan.87% are Muslims, and their lifestyle and views on life and death are based on their religious views. Also, like Japan, Japan is a disaster-prone country, and there are deep exchanges between the two countries in the field of disaster nursing.

During our field activities, we visited the Gadjah Mada University Teaching Hospital to see nursing practice in action, and visited "Puskesmas" and "Posiandu", which are health posts unique to Indonesia, and actually took physical measurements of children and blood pressure of the elderly. The measurement was carried out as a hands-on training.

I went to mosques, visited museums, and world heritage sites, and began to think about the idea of health associated with Indonesian culture, history, and religion. I also had the opportunity to attend a lecture on regional disaster prevention at the Regional Disaster Management Agency and gain hands-on learning experience.

On holidays, we went to markets and shopping together with students from Gadjah Mada University, and we held cultural exchange events on campus. The Japanese side gave us an opportunity to experience origami and calligraphy, and the Indonesian side taught us the oldest game, ``Chong Krak.''

During the field activities, we gave presentations in English on ``Japanese culture and health care system'' on the first day, and ``Summary of learning from field activities'' on the last day.
In addition, after returning to Japan, we held another online review meeting with Gadjah Mada University, and finally, as a culmination, we made a presentation at the poster session at the general report meeting.
My language skills and presentation skills have improved tremendously, but the most important accomplishment is that I was able to experience how this global study experience can be applied to cross-cultural nursing both domestically and internationally.
