An awards ceremony for outstanding students for Spring 5 was held at the Amagasaki Campus during the lunch break on Tuesday, May 28th.
This year's awards are based on the grades of the fall semester of 2023, and the Amagasaki Campus awarded two students with the Outstanding Academic Achievement Award, 2 students with the Learning Encouragement Award No. 1, 35 students with the Learning Encouragement Award No. 2, and three students with the Qualification Examination Encouragement Award.
President Hamana handed each winner a certificate and offered words of encouragement.
We asked the three award winners for their comments.
Faculty of Business Administration, Department of Business Administration, 4th year student, Sora Nagata
I am very grateful for the award for outstanding performance. This is the first time I have received this award, and since I am now in my fourth year, this will be my last time receiving such an award. I am truly happy to have received this award at the very end of my studies.
I would like to take this opportunity to say a few words as an outstanding student, since I have been given the opportunity to make this comment. I have received several academic encouragement awards and this outstanding grades award, but I have not done anything special. I have simply done the "things I have to do" that I was given, such as attending classes and submitting assignments. If there are any ambitious students reading this comment, if they do the "things I have to do" like I did, they may have the opportunity to be recognized. However, I don't think that getting good grades is everything, so please live your student life freely without being tied down to academics.
Finally, receiving this award has given me a new appreciation for what student life should be like. I will continue to do what I have to do in the little time I have left as a student. Thank you very much.
Faculty of Business Administration, Department of Business Administration, 4th year student, Lee Ji-Jian
It was a great honor for me to receive the Academic Encouragement Award. I feel that my daily efforts and studies have been recognized, and I am very happy about that. There were many times during my studies when I felt like giving up, but when my results are recognized in this way, I feel that all my efforts have paid off.
This achievement is not just down to me, but also to the support of those around me. I was only able to work this hard thanks to the warm encouragement and support of my seniors, friends, and teachers who guided me. I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to them.
Receiving this award has encouraged me to work towards new goals, and I hope to continue to work even harder to broaden my horizons.
Mizuki Ueda, 2nd year, Department of Education and Welfare, Faculty of Education
I am extremely honored and delighted to receive this award. In the fall semester of 2023, I set a goal to "surpass myself in the spring semester" and worked hard at my studies and assignments every day. The number of credits increased compared to the spring semester, and the level of specialization also increased, so I was worried at times whether I would be able to achieve my goal, but I worked hard with a plan, and in the end I believed in myself and gave it my all. It was a busy fall semester, balancing my studies with club activities, but the support of my friends and teachers led me to receive this award.
I would like to express my gratitude once again to everyone who was involved. Thank you so much. I will continue to do my best.
