[Faculty of Education] Report on the implementation of the PBL "Smartphone Class at Pastoral Amagasaki" for the 3rd year Welfare Studies major seminar

On Tuesday, June 6th, a third-year seminar on welfare studies at the Department of Education and Welfare, Faculty of Education, held a smartphone class at the Pastoral Amagasaki, a nursing home for the elderly. Thank you very much to all the residents who participated on the day.

In the PBL seminar for third-year students majoring in welfare studies, we are planning "disaster prevention smartphone" and "disaster prevention salon" activities based on the theme of "creating a safe community where no one is left behind even in the event of a disaster."

The Disaster Prevention Smartphone initiative will hold a Smartphone Class for residents of Pastoral Amagasaki to help them make use of smartphones in the event of a disaster.

This time, as the first time,
★ Build trust through communication
★ Listen to problems with smartphone operation
I visited for that purpose.

After introducing themselves to each other, the participants had fun playing a telepathic game and a true or false quiz planned by the students, deepening their friendships.

After getting to know each other a bit, the students put themselves in the other person's shoes and listened sympathetically to the problems they were having with using their smartphones.
The residents were very enthusiastic and asked questions.

The next student-led smartphone class is scheduled for Tuesday, June 6th.
We will consider specific methods of support to resolve the smartphone operation issues identified in this interview survey and enable smartphones to be used even in times of disaster.
