[Faculty of Education] Service Learning "Eating Alone and Poverty Issues from the Perspective of Children's Cafeterias"

On July 7th, a pre-learning session was held for the Department of Education and Welfare's service learning program class "The issue of eating alone and poverty as seen from children's cafeterias," in which a guest was invited to give a talk.
On the day, we were visited by volunteers who run the local children's cafeteria "Ikoiko! An," as well as members of the Amagasaki City Social Welfare Council, which supports them.

First, each participant spoke from their own perspective about the importance of children's cafeterias in the local community, how to support them, and how they are actually run and operated. Afterwards, they split into groups for a question and answer session.
It appears that it was a valuable learning experience for the students, as they were able to hear from people who are actually working in the local community to "create places for children."
Thank you to all our guests.
