We then split into groups and interviewed children and people of various generations with Brazilian roots about their experiences with immigration and relocation.

KICCDuring the mid-term study abroad program, we interviewed both a multicultural exchange officer with Vietnamese roots and a multilingual staff member with Chinese roots about support based on intercultural understanding.

During follow-up learning, the students thought deeply about what they had heard in the interviews and what they had learned during the in-term learning, then compiled their thoughts into posters and gave presentations.

Based on their learning in Global Studies, we hope that they will continue to nurture opportunities for mutual exchange from various perspectives on the multicultural coexistence of not only Brazilian culture but also other cultures and Japanese culture.
