The Saturday and Sunday Foundation is a private organization with close ties to the Turkish government.1999The company began by entrusting the management of donations collected in Hyogo Prefecture following the 2011 Marmara earthquake in Turkey to Hyogo Prefecture.15We have had exchanges with our university for over 10 years.2023During the GS Turkey event held in the academic year under the supervision of Professor Murata, Director of the Safety Management Education Promotion Office, we received a great deal of assistance from him in selecting Turkish students to work with and coordinating visits to schools in the disaster-stricken areas.

The group9Month1The World Youth Disaster Risk Reduction Summit (Global Youth BOSAI Summit) and visited our university with the aim of further promoting collaboration, including continuing student exchanges.

First, the Chairman of the Saturday and Sunday Foundation Cultural Center expressed his gratitude for the visit, followed by a welcoming speech from Vice President Hamana, who expressed his gratitude for the local support for the overseas study program. Afterwards, Vice President Hamana gave an overview of the university,KUISsAfter watching a video on disaster prevention activities, we exchanged opinions.

In response to a request from the Saturday and Sunday Fund saying, "We are planning an international seminar on disaster psychology, which is in high demand in the disaster-stricken areas, and we would like your cooperation," the Vice President replied, "We have experts in that field at our university, so we can cooperate." In response to a question from the Science High School principal saying, "More and more high school students are becoming interested in Japanese anime. Are there any departments at your university where I can study it?", the Vice President introduced the new Japanese Language and Japanese Culture course in the Faculty of Global Studies, which is planned to be established, and there was a lively exchange of opinions.
