The university festival "Suwayama Festival in 2024" was held at our Kobe Yamate Campus for two days on Saturday, October 10th and Sunday, October 26th, 27, and was a huge success with many visitors, including students, faculty, staff, and local residents. This year's theme, "Take a break from sulking, Yeah!", was inspired by the strong desire of the organizing committee, who were concerned that the COVID-2 pandemic has narrowed the scope of their activities and that an atmosphere of giving up easily still remains, to help people regain their motivation to take on challenges and become more proactive and positive through new encounters and cultural exchanges.

On the first day of the Suwayama Festival, the rock band "TENDOUJIThe main event was a live performance by "Halloween Cafe" by seminar students from the Department of Psychology, and students also ran a mock store and games such as strikeout. It was a day that warmed the hearts and bodies of the local people and their families who visited.

The second day of the main event included an opening ceremony with a speech from the president, performances by the light music club and student volunteers, and a live performance by the university's comedy club. The excitement at the venue reached a climax with live performances by Yoshimoto Kogyo's Monster Engine, Yoshida-tachi, Double Higashi, and Machaaki with Hitori de Dekiru Mon, as well as a lottery hosted by Reiwa Kita Minami and Kono.

In addition, various programs were held in each classroom, combining education and entertainment, such as a "disaster prevention quiz" by the supporters' association, a "poster display" by students who participated in overseas programs, crime prevention quizzes and games, interacting with guide dogs, a flea market, etc. Finally, the university's brass band performed, bringing this year's Suwayama Festival to a close in great success.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all those involved in this year's event who cooperated with us in various ways, as well as to the many visitors who attended. The organizing committee and all faculty and staff will work hard to welcome you all again next year with an even more fulfilling event.
