3The Strait Clean-up Campaign is one of the local efforts to make the Naruto Whirlpools a World Heritage Site, and is an event to raise awareness of the marine debris problem by working together to clean up the garbage that has washed up on the coastline. As part of a collaborative project between our university and Minami Awaji City, students have been participating in this event since last year and holding workshops to create garbage art.

On the day of the event, it started raining from the morning, but after the opening announcement, the rain gradually stopped and the event was held without any problems. Children participated in the garbage art workshop and enjoyed creating their works with the support of the students.
