This year's theme is "Let's heat up Miki! ~Towards an exciting future~". The theme was devised by the Ajian Festival Executive Committee, reflecting the desire of Kansai International University, the only university in Miki City, to work with the city, students and local residents to create excitement for the festival.

To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the corporation, a commemorative olive tree was planted near the main gate. In his speech, President Atsushi Hamana said, "I hope that this tree will grow big together with the students for the next 100 years."
