A comment by Professor Michiko Shimizu of the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Sociology, at our university was published in the Saturday, October 2024, 10 edition of the Chunichi Children's Weekly newspaper in the "Hello Kitty 19th Anniversary" corner of the complete illustrated guide to the symbol of kawaii, as a "leading character culture leader."
