On the day, representatives from Amagasaki City's Disaster Prevention Division and Diversity Promotion Division gave talks about the current situation of foreigners in Amagasaki City.

Afterwards, Kazuhiko Takagi, Vice Representative Director of the National Council of Multicultural Coexistence Managers, a non-profit organization, gave a talk on how to deal with foreigners in the event of a disaster.

In a group discussion about providing information to foreigners in the event of a disaster, participants were asked to think about the design of evacuation signs.

They also exchanged opinions about collaboration between Japanese and foreigners at evacuation shelters.

The international students who participated commented, "Because I'm a foreigner, I don't know much about disaster prevention in Japan. Through today's activities, I'm not only learning about disaster prevention, but I'm also learning technical terminology. I learned a lot." and "I learned a lot by listening to everyone's opinions."

People of various generations, positions, and nationalities talk about "disaster prevention."1It was a very meaningful time for the participants as they exchanged opinions on the same theme from their own perspectives.

Kansai International University will continue to focus on safety management education with a focus on "safety and security."
