In response to a request from the Miki Disaster Prevention Leaders Association, Professor Yoshitoshi Hata of the Department of Nursing, Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences,7Years2Month11On the day, disaster prevention specialists from various parts of Hyogo Prefecture (Miki, Ono, Sanda, Nishinomiya, Takarazuka, Minami Awaji)25A joint skills improvement training session for 100 people was held at Midorigaoka Community Center in Miki City.
The training session was held on the theme of "Learning how to support victims from the perspective of disaster nursing" and focused on the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake andJRWhile introducing case studies of doctors and nurses who were involved in the Fukuchiyama derailment accident and other incidents, the training covered the necessary mindset and communication methods from the perspective of disaster nursing, including tips for physical assistance at evacuation shelters, mental care (how to offer empathy by speaking to people), and efforts to prevent disaster-related deaths.
Through the training session, Professor Hata conveyed the importance of regularly practicing based on concrete images in order to support disaster victims.
