"Warming-up study" for students scheduled to enroll in 2025
warm up learning
Our university conducts "warming-up learning" as part of pre-enrollment education.
This year, the events were held on the following dates at each campus:
Miki Campus (for student athletes) February 2th (Thurs.)) Click here for the report article
Miki Campus: March 3st (Sat) and March 1th (Tue)
Amagasaki Campus: March 3 (Sat) and March 8 (Fri)
Kobe Yamate Campus: March 3th (Sat) and March 15st (Mon)
In total, 546 prospective students and 204 family members and others participated.
The "warm-up study" is held every year with the aim of helping new students ease their anxieties about their studies and life at university.
On the day, not only faculty and staff but also many current students will participate as student helpers to support the prospective students.
In the morning, the prospective students took part in department-specific programs that incorporated communication work, and during the lunch break they were seen eating lunch in the cafeteria with the classmates they had already become friends with.
After a welcoming speech from President Hamana, the students took an introductory seminar class, where they experienced a seminar-style class using assigned reading.
In the program aimed at family members and guarantors, we explained our university's initiatives and support system.
Starting this year, we are also conducting pre-enrollment guidance sessions for international students.
A survey after the program showed that some of the students' anxieties had been alleviated and their expectations for university life had increased.
From a survey of prospective students
"I want to enjoy life as a university student. There are still so many things I don't know about university life that I'm nervous about, but now that I know the support system, my anxieties have eased a little."
"I want to become able to take independent action. I want to gain a variety of experiences so that I can grasp my dreams by myself."
"The seminar experience was a good opportunity for me to visualize what I should do at university."
"I was glad to learn more about the school. I was also glad that the seniors were kind enough to teach me."
From a survey of family members and guarantors
"It was great to hear from graduates and current students. I'm from outside the prefecture, so I'm worried about my daily life, but this gives me some peace of mind."
"I'm glad I participated because I was able to learn more about the program and the various support options available until graduation."
"I'm glad I participated because I was able to ask questions directly and my doubts were resolved. I was relieved to hear more about the support available at the university."
