2025Years2Month8On the 2nd, the "Oda District Connecting Festival" was held, co-hosted by Kansai International University, the Oda Regional Affairs Division of Amagasaki City, and the Omukaisan Project.2025" was held at the Amagasaki Campus.


The event featured a multicultural exchange event and a rakugo performance by service learning students from the School of Business Administration, a children's event by students from the School of Education, and a booth related to local disaster prevention.
Thank you to everyone who came along on the day, from small children to the elderly.
The multicultural exchange corner was planned and run by students from the School of Business Administration taking the service learning "Community Revitalization Project Connecting with Multicultural Exchange Events."
The international students took the lead in planning a booth where participants could experience Vietnam's diverse culture.

In addition, an event called "Fun and Easy First Rakugo" was held, where participants could experience Japanese culture through activities such as wadaiko drumming and kamikiri, centering around a vaudeville performance by Rakugo artist and graduate of our university, Aoba Katsura.
This project was managed by students from the Faculty of Business Administration taking a service learning course called "Developing an Attraction Plan for the Entertainment Industry."
In addition, clubs at our university, such as the Local Disaster Prevention Club Chibo, the Children's Culture Study Group, and Aogaki Hiroba, held events for children and interacted with local residents.

At the venue,2024FY2019 Amagasaki City Human Resource Development Support Project to Cultivate Mutual Support(Name of educational activity: Project for building safe and secure towns through disaster prevention)Students from seminars and clubs who received funding from the "Research and Development Center for Global Environmental Studies" program gave poster presentations reporting on their activities over the past year.


It was a wonderful event where people of different generations and nationalities could "connect" with each other.
