Students from the Faculty of Business Administration who took the 2024 service learning program "Community Revitalization Project Connecting with Multicultural Exchange Events" VP-san, NVC-sanWe interviewed him!
This time,2025Years2Month8We spoke mainly about his involvement in planning and running the Oda District Connecting Festival, which was held on the 2nd.

Please tell us why you chose the Service Learning A class, "Local Revitalization Project Connecting with Multicultural Exchange Events."
VP:
I chose this class because I wanted to experience "learning while actually interacting with local people."
Another reason was that I was interested in activities that I could contribute to and wanted to try my hand at seeing what I could learn.
NVC:
I thought I would be able to learn new things while interacting with people in the surrounding areas of Amagasaki, and I also wanted to have new experiences through practical activities.
I also wanted to broaden my horizons by experiencing different cultures.
What kind of initiatives did you take at the Oda District Connecting Festival?
VP-san:
I worked on planning and running multicultural exchange events.
Specifically, we planned a booth for experiencing Vietnamese Lunar New Year culture and a workshop where people could interact with local people.
On the day, we supported the progress of the event while placing great importance on communication with the participants.
NVC:
I worked on two main things.
The first is public relations activities.
We advertised on our website and promoted it with posters and flyers.
For flyers,JRThey were distributed at Amagasaki Station.
The second role is running the event, preparing the venue, dealing with participants and supporting the booths.
As part of our intercultural exchange, we talked with people from other countries and introduced each other to our cultures.

Please tell us about some memorable moments you had participating, such as fun things or happy moments.
VP:
The happiest moment for me was when event participants said, "It was fun!" and "I want to come again!"
Also, seeing the smiles on the participants' faces made me feel that this activity had helped people.
NVC:
What was fun and memorable was being able to talk to and interact with so many people.
I was also impressed by how the booth I helped out at became more and more popular and the participants enjoyed themselves.
I was truly happy from the bottom of my heart when people said things like "Thank you" and "I had fun."
Please tell us about any difficulties you faced during your activities.
VP:
It was difficult to think of what kind of program would be enjoyable for the local people.
NVC:
There was a lot more to do than I expected, and it was hard to manage my time well.
There were also some difficult moments due to language problems and cultural differences.
Please tell us how you have grown through this activity.
VP:
In this activity, I was the leader and ran the event together with the other members of my group.
During the preparation stage, some members were unable to proceed with the preparations according to their work assignments, but seeing this, I made it a point to take the initiative to ensure that everything went smoothly overall.
Through this experience, I gained a sense of responsibility as a leader and the ability to respond flexibly.
I also learned the importance of taking the initiative to improve the atmosphere in the group and working together towards success.
NVC:
What I have grown through this activity is my ability to communicate.
I think I have become better at communicating and listening to others more.
We also learned the importance of teamwork and improved our ability to work together as a team.
Also, even if a problem suddenly arises, I have become able to stay calm, think things through, and respond flexibly.
VP-san,NVC,Thank you for your cooperation!
