Please tell us what made you decide to participate in the Oda District Connecting Festival.

I belong to a club called the "Children's Culture Research Group," which allows me to interact with children, and a club called "Chibo," which is involved in local disaster prevention, and I really wanted to be a part of those clubs, so I decided to take part in this event.

What kind of initiatives did you take at the Oda District Connecting Festival?

I mainly played with the children and talked a little with the grandparents. It was fun to interact with people of all ages!

Having participated, are there any memorable moments such as fun or happy moments?

I was so happy when I saw the children laughing and having so much fun, and when they actually said, "It's fun!"

Was there anything difficult during your activities?

When I was playing with the children, I would think to myself, "Should I get deeply involved?" or, "Or should I just stand back and watch over them with kind eyes?" so I was very hesitant about this.

Do you feel that you have grown as a result of volunteering?

I gained communication skills by interacting and talking with people of a wide range of ages!

What would you say to other students who are undecided about whether to participate in volunteer work?

If you're unsure, just join! You won't regret it!

Thank you for your cooperation, Uozumi-san!
