2025 Educational Forum Held (Okayama, Amagasaki, Miki, Kobe Yamate)

Kansai University of International Studies will continue to hold "educational consultation meetings" for family members and guarantors in various locations in 2025. The purpose of these meetings is to deepen understanding of the university's educational activities and student support, as well as to support the better development of students by sharing information between family members/guarantors and faculty and staff.

[Okayama Venue]

At the Okayama venue held at Sun Peach Okayama, President Atsushi Hamana gave a lecture on the university's current situation and educational policy, and a career guidance session was held by a member of the Career Support Division. After the general meeting, a discussion session was held with the president, where many frank opinions and questions were asked in the homely atmosphere of a small group.

[Amagasaki Campus]

 At the Amagasaki campus, 43 people from 53 groups attended. At the general meeting of the supporters' association held in the morning, last year's business report, financial statement report, and this year's business plan and budget proposal were discussed. After that, a social gathering was held.Faculty members were introduced for each department, and the students were able to deepen their friendships in a relaxed atmosphere while enjoying light refreshments.First, President Atsushi Hamana spoke about this year's educational theme for our university:Learning&CommitmentBased on this theme, the speaker spoke about the need to foster and send out into society the university's educational goal of "cultivating talented people who respect others and can independently carve out their own lives," and explained the wide range of educational measures that the university is implementing. In the "Objective-Specific Guidance" that followed, representatives from each department gave explanations about employment, obtaining qualifications, studying abroad, and student life. The students also had the opportunity to experience the university's student support in action through a variety of events, including a "campus tour" led by student staff and "individual interviews" with faculty members.

[Miki Campus]

 At the Miki Campus, 42 people from 54 groups attended. The event began with a speech by President Hamana, after which the program was divided into two parts, the Department of Business Administration in the Faculty of Business Administration and the Department of Nursing in the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences. The Department of Business Administration in the Faculty of Business Administration held a "Faculty Introduction and Tea Party," while the Department of Nursing in the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences held an "Explanation of the Practical Training, National Exam Preparation, and Public Health Nurse Course," followed by another "Faculty Introduction and Tea Party," allowing participants to gain a deeper understanding of the characteristics of each department and the content of their studies.

In the "Guidance for Each Purpose" that followed, staff from each department who support student life such as employment, scholarships, and study abroad explained the current employment situation, overseas programs, and scholarship systems. In the "Individual Consultation," students had the opportunity to consult with their advisory faculty members individually about their daily lives, academic status, job hunting, etc., although the time was limited.

[Kobe Yamate Campus]

 At the Kobe Yamate Campus, 85 people from 106 groups attended. First, President Hamana gave a speech, explaining the wide range of educational policies and career support system that the university implements. The job-hunting guidance session that followed introduced the specific support content and track record.

The tea party, which also served as a faculty introduction, allowed participants to interact with the faculty and staff, and although the atmosphere was lively, it was a friendly one throughout the event, as participants deepened their friendships.

In addition to the job-hunting guidance, the purpose-specific guidance included a variety of programs such as global research, global studies (overseas experience learning, studying abroad, etc.), the status and preparation for teacher recruitment exams (junior and senior high school), scholarships, tuition fees, student life, campus tours, etc. Furthermore, individual interviews with faculty members from each department were also held with enthusiasm, and it was a time when the high interest of the participants could be seen.
