Participated in the 22nd National University Consortium Research Exchange Forum

2025August30Sunday (Sat),31The "1st International Exhibition" was held on Sunday, the 1st at Port Island in Chuo Ward, Kobe City.22Our university participated in the 2019 National University Consortium Research Exchange Forum.

 

The forum's main theme was "Towards developing new talent to pioneer a rapidly changing future society - Inter-university collaboration and industry-government-academia collaboration based on timeless trends," and featured a diverse program including symposiums, poster sessions, and a student stage performance. Representatives from universities, local governments, and companies from all over the country gathered, providing a venue for lively interaction and information dissemination.

In the fields of "university-to-university collaboration" and "industry-government-academia collaboration,"Learning & Commitment Gain practical skills in the local community.Well beingUnder the theme of "Realizing this," the event introduced a learning initiative that fosters practical skills while students tackle issues in the local community through service learning and community collaboration activities.

"Earthquake30In the area of ​​"University and Student Activities Connecting the Lessons of the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake," the theme was "Safety Education at Kansai International University," and the university's initiatives regarding safety and security education and human resource development, including disaster prevention specialist training, were introduced.

The exhibition booth was visited by many participants, and attracted interest from a wide range of people, including those from government, industry, and universities. Information was also exchanged with exhibitors from other universities, providing a good opportunity to explore the possibility of future collaboration.

In addition, at the symposium "Inter-University Collaboration and Regional Co-creation - The Potential of Consortia in a Period of Social Change," our university's President Atsushi Hamana served as moderator.

Experts from various fields discussed from various perspectives how higher education institutions can achieve co-creation with local communities in order to respond to changes in the social environment, such as a rapidly declining birthrate and digitalization. The new value and possibilities created by collaboration between universities and between industry, government, and academia, as well as the role played by university consortia, were also highlighted, providing a valuable opportunity to look ahead to the future of higher education.

Through this participation, we were able to widely disseminate information about our university's educational and community collaboration efforts, and through dialogue with many participants and exchanges with other universities, it was a meaningful opportunity to expand the possibilities for future collaboration and cooperation.

Going forward, our university will continue to deepen its ties with the local community and society in order to achieve co-creation with the local community, and contribute to the development of human resources who will pave the way for society in the future.
