2025.10.10 Notice from the university

31 students from Ikuei High School visited our university.

On Friday, October 10th, 31 first-year students from Ikuei High School visited our Kobe Yamate Campus as part of their university class experience.

The event began with a "university introduction" by current students, followed by a talk by Ikuei High School graduates who shared real-life stories about university life and their experiences studying abroad.

The project began in a relaxed atmosphere.

Afterwards, Dean Yokokawa of the Department of Psychology gave a mini lecture. In the lecture, he introduced the psychological mechanisms behind human behavior and emotions in an easy-to-understand manner, using familiar examples, and the students listened attentively with interest.

Lunch was served at the university's student cafeteria, and in the afternoon a mini lecture was given by Department Head Ito of the Department of Global Studies.

The lecture introduced the skills needed in today's increasingly globalized society and the importance of cross-cultural understanding, using specific examples from overseas. Many students seemed interested in the joy of coming into contact with English and diverse cultures.

The visit concluded with a campus tour, where participants were able to see facilities such as the library and study rooms. In the follow-up survey, we received many positive comments, such as "Psychology was interesting," "I became interested in global learning," and "I was surprised at how beautiful the campus was."

We hope that this visit will give you some hints about your future career paths and studies.

Thank you very much to all the students of Ikuei High School and the teachers who accompanied them for visiting our school.
